What Makes A Good Logo
Your logo is customers first impression.
It needs to convey what you are selling, while maintaining a clean and memorable look. Itβs not just about looking good; you are communicating to clients who you are.
But how do you know what will work?
When designing or reviewing logos, I like to go through the following checklist to ensure it will be hitting the right marks:
Is it simple?
Your logo should be readable at a quick glance, without too many graphics, colours or fonts.
Can fonts be read in different sizes?
Ensuring the words / graphics are visible regardless of size is essential so that it can be utilised anywhere. Think profile pictures, branding on flyers, email signatures and more.
Is it colour versatile?
Is it still clear in black and white? If you decide to switch colour palettes, will it be able to follow suit?
Is it unique?
Your logo should stand out, so get creative! You donβt want to be confused for other businesses, or get lost in the scroll.
Of course, your logo should be something you are proud of. It is a major part of your brand identity, and deserves the same care and attention as all other business assets.
