AI in Advertising: Friend or Foe?
Love it or hate it, AI is quickly changing how we create, edit and design - and fast.
The truth is, it is a TOOL - not a solution.
To take advantage of AI, you need to combine its power with your own skills and creative ideas, not use it as a replacement.
Think of it as a creative partner. You want it to help you deliver the best possible work, but taking ideas and simply copy/pasting will not help you strengthen your experience or truly connect with your work. Plus - the information sourced by AI tools is often taken from other online posts, websites or blogs, so you are at risk of stealing other peopleβs hard work.
What AI can do well:
Generate ideas - looking for inspiration, a new hook or help polishing an email? AI has the brainstorm power.
Data analysis - crunch numbers, get audience insights, and help understand performance in seconds.
Drafting assistance - use it to help polish emails, captions or documents with ease.
What AI cannot replace:
Real creativity - AI repurposes content, and cannot create completely new ideas.
Accuracy - AI is always learning, so can give incorrect information. It is important to do your own independent research.
Generic content - Without adding your own voice, content may seem boring or inhuman. Speak to your specific audience.
AI is a powerful tool, and can be a game changer for content creation. But only if you use it with your own skills - not as a replacement.
